NEWSLETTER: KL KXE 125 Super Motard and Enduro
No matter what age group. The dream of the feeling of freedom on two wheels can be realized for most people due to the current driving license regulations best with a 125cc motorcycle. Modern 125s have now grown up and are almost indistinguishable from the big motorcycles. The 125s of today have all the technical options as it is common for large displacement motorcycles. Thus also already with the 125er KL KXE Motard an ABS brake system is installed after homologation regulation EURO5. However, the realization of this dream is not necessarily that simple. One of the effects of the Corona pandemic in 2021 was the fact that the demand for 125cc motorcycles was many times greater than the stock that could be delivered by the manufacturers to the dealers. For 2022, too, there are already signs of supply bottlenecks for 125cc bikes.
So it comes just right that with the motorcycle manufacturer KL a brand new player comes to the European market. From now on KL is at the start with a very attractively designed 125cc Enduro and Supermotard machine with EURO5 homologation. KL is owned since 2021 by the Pelpi International S.r.l. group of companies based in Arosio in Northern Italy. Pelpi has most recently made a name for itself as a manufacturer of 125 and 300 cc motorcycles with its F.B. Mondial and Over brands in Europe.
On these proven platforms, which already provide for a high quality standard with the Mondial Bikes now the new KL 125ccm models develop.
With the KXE MOTARD and KXE EUNDURO KL meets not only exactly the nerve of the young generation from 16 years, but offers with the adult appearance also an alternative for older motorcycle newcomers. Euro 5 standard, ABS braking system, cool design, modern technology, are the key data of the compact 125 for a successful market entry.
And the whole package also still at a fair price.
Through the experience of recent years Pelpi International is very professionally structured and has already filled its warehouses with the new KL vehicles. In addition, Pelpi International has a well-stocked and perfectly organized spare parts warehouse in order to be able to deliver all required parts to the dealers within a maximum of 48 hours.
This is an invaluable advantage in the current situation of the industry.
Leuthe GmbH, based in Thayngen, is now the exclusive KL importer for Switzerland. In direct cooperation with Pelpi International S.r.l. as manufacturer, the KL KXE models will be distributed exclusively with immediate effect. The lean structure and the short communication channels of the owners is the key to success here.
The owner of Leuthe GmbH is the former 500cc MotoGP rider Andreas Leuthe, who after his active career worked as Business Development Manager and Head of Motorsport for the Italian scooter manufacturer Italjet, among others, in the early 2000s. Leuthe then worked in the same role for the Indian major Mahindra from 2015-2018.
Among many other activities in recent years, Leuthe GmbH 2021 was also active for the noble manufacturer Bimota to realign and build their sales structure.
For the KL project, Andreas Leuthe was able to bring the company SMOT and its owner Danilo Tschupp on board for sales management and spare parts service.
A very reliable partner with many years of experience as an importer for Switzerland of various motorcycle brands such as Fantic, SWM or Norton, to name but a few.
On the ever-growing market of 125cc machines, the KL KXE is now a great opportunity to get hold of a real high-tech off-road bike at a fair price.
In addition to the young target group, cross-country riders and those switching to other bikes will certainly be thrilled by this new alternative for realizing the dream on 2-wheels.
If your interest should be aroused we would like to submit you our attractive dealer conditions in a personal discussion and answer in the course of it also all further questions.
Yours sincerely, Andreas Leuthe, CEO

MORE INFOS ABOUT ANDREAS LEUTHE:
By: Edgar Mielke, SAT1 Chief Commentator of DTM & FORMULA-E
A life on and with two wheels
Anyone who visited a round of the Motorcycle World Championship in the mid-1980s could not help but be amazed at a daring German privateer in the top class up to 500 cc. Correct. Andreas Leuthe. Unusual leather suits were just as conspicuous as the technical solutions developed and installed by the private rider himself. The willingness to take risks and the courage of Andreas Leuthe demanded great respect from the world elite of the time, such as the world champions Kenny Roberts SR or Wayne Rainey. Legendary a conversation on the famous training ranch in California of Kenny Roberts with Wayne Rainey. Leuthe, who was already fluent in 3 languages, was an important contact point at the ranch, especially for the Italian riders who could not speak English. While watching the video, Rainey expressed concerns about the safety of the paddock turn at the Salzburgring. "Way too dangerous . There is just one in the free practice to death crashed " so the legendary Yamaha star to Leuthe. The had a dry answer ready. "Not quite right. That was me and as you can see, I'm still alive".
Without the Italian cult racing doctor Dr. Costa, however, Leuthe would probably have left his life in this crash in 1990. And all because the water pump had burst. After that, the courage and dedication with which Andreas Leuthe caused a sensation in the paddock, both as a constructor and as an intrepid racing driver. Even in his active days, Leuthe turned out to be a gifted networker. Whether it was drivers like Rainey or Roberts or tuning genius Harald Bartol. The admiration for Leuthe`s efforts was a constant theme in the motorcycle world championship.
The ability to network and to always work with good ideas in a solution-oriented manner was to run like a red thread through the career of Andreas Leuthe after the end of his active career as a racing driver in 1994. Business started directly after his racing career in 1995. With the Motor Center Imperia as a partner in Italy, a gray import from Italy to Germany was established. And very successfully. After only 3 months, Andreas Leuthe was already selling 100 vehicles a month in Germany. The ability to network paid off in full. Since Leuthe was able to sell more Italjet scooters in Germany than the official importer, the factory in Italy became aware of the clever choice Swiss with German passport.
A meeting with company founder and owner Leopoldo Tartarini tipped the scales. Leuthe, who speaks perfect Italian, convinced with his competence that he became personal advisor to the management, export manager for Germany and also manager of the Italjet factory team for the Italian manufacturer. And not only that, Andreas Leuthe built the first Italjet 125 Grand Prix machine on his own. Only the racing fairing, seat and tank were designed in typical Italjet style at the factory in Bologna. The project was to become very successful....
After the Italjet team finished in the top 3 in the 1999 European Championship in its first season and was able to establish itself as one of the best teams there, the promotion to the Motorcycle World Championship was already completed in 2000 with the factory team managed by Andreas Leuthe. This attracted attention in the scene. Andreas Leuthe became rider manager of several racers between 2001 and 2005. In addition, the business relationship with the Tartarini family continued to this day.
Also the most successful time of Suter Racing fell under the responsibility of Andreas Leuthe. The motorsport manager was able to make the period from 2012 to 2014 for Suter extremely successful. Three Constructors' titles and above all the Riders' World Championship title for Marc Marquez in Moto 2 are testimony to the consistency of Leuthe`s successful work. With his good contacts in Asia, Andreas Leuthe also ensured, among other things, that Suter Industries was able to build its own Moto 3 bike for the Indian conglomerate Mahindra. Between 2015 and 2017, Andreas Leuthe was then Head of Motorsport Strategies and Alliances at Mahindra. With success, too. For example, Mahindra laid the foundation for the world career of Pecco Bagnaia, who later became Moto 2 world champion and is now a Ducati Moto GP factory rider. Andreas Leuthe had once again had the right instinct when he promoted his friend and former world champion Jorge Martinez to the Mahindra factory team, as he had the best infrastructure and access to the best talent in the small class.
Besides his racing activities, Andreas Leuthe still had connections to the motorcycle industry. Between 2015 and 2016, he succeeded in setting up a CKD production in India for the Italian manufacturer F.B. Mondial. And again and again the good wires to Italy to the family Tartarini. It was Leuthe who mediated Mahindra after their purchase of the brands BSA and Jawa to Alessandro Tartarini. This led to the product development of the first 350cc Jawa. As Sales and Business Development Manager of the English cult brand Norton Andreas Leuthe managed to build a network of over 50 dealers and 6 importers. In addition, he founded "Norton India" in 2018 and sold the Norton 961 engine project to Jinlang in China in 2019.
Here, too, Leuthe was in charge of the sale.
